I like how my Flowmaster 80 series sound. It's loud but not too loud I live in a neighborhood where alot of people have younger kids and I haven't gotten any complaints. And trust me i've had these for 2 weeks if anybody was going to complain they would've done it by now. If you want loud then yes go with the 40 series or something else but I think the 80's are good enough for me. It's all about perception....

i have the hooker 3" setup and love it. It's different a nice throaty sound at idle, mean as hell when you open it up, but with 2.77's cruising at 45-50 you can have a conversation, or listen to some music same as stock.

That last clip sounded absolutely amazing. That's the entire hooker catback? What does that run abouts, price wise?

I was looking at just putting new mufflers on... I'm going for a nice, deep throaty idle, but nothing too droningly loud. I want it to open up a LOT at WOT though, like that appeared to. Basically the perfect exhaust...quiet while cruising, but then insanely loud when I take off. Very budget-minded though. I'd like something nice, though, not just cherry bombs...

I found it at www.thirdgen.org

http://www.thirdgen.org/rides/index....ew&rideid=8288

This is the info on the car and owner.

I beleive mine sounds similiar but im inside the car obviously. I'm running Edelbrock TES headers, and a Magnaflow cat before the hooker. the hooker is in my opinion the best system that i've heard. I've ridden in friends with flowmasters and they get old quickly, i've owned an "83 el camino with a dynomax system, and even with a 406, trick flow heads, hooker long tubes, etc it still sounded like a kitten, the hooker though has a slight gurgle at idle and rumbles nicely just off idle, when brought past 3500-3750rpms it really starts to wake up, but between 1500-2000 it is very tame great for cruising or trying to not be noticed by the cop next to you. Another thing it surprised the **** out of ricers when the little camaro next to them goes from a quite drone to an explosion of noise when you romp on it. So if you didn't figure it out i love my exhaust and recomend it to everyone that is considering it.
