What kind of engine...
would you guys put into a 1988 z28 Camaro?
What would give me the fastest time for the most affordable price. I'm thinking 1000 - 2500. I want to add some nitrous to it too. Let me here your thoughts.

You put NO2 and you would need to reinforce the bottom end with a good set of pistons, rods, bearings, four bolt main wouldn't hurt. The heads are going to run over $1500 for decent quality ones alone. Just work the engine bit by bit. Get good heads, cam and RR and have them installed. Work on your tranny next and then your rear end.
