OK I'm getting an L98 soon, what kind of power do you think i'll make with these mods, exaust, shorty headers, mini-ram intake, LT4 Hot cam, and somekind of aftermarket heads? I'm just looking at rough estimats.

PS: What are some goos after market L98 heads?

A head and cam l98 can be in the 12's.A good set of afr heads and a matching cam is a nice way to go.AFR is not cheap.

Honestly if you are going to go the mini-ram way, get the Mini-RAM III. Then get yourself a set of Fastburn (aluminum) Heads. This way you can have the benefits of the new vortec style heads. Also, if you aske them, TPiS will port match the manifold for you before they ship it out. That way you only have to do the heads and your done.

Hope that helps.

I've been reading up and I may go with the Scoggin Dickey Vortec intake with Vortec heads. I am hearing that makes an amzing difference. Where do I go about getting Vortec heads? How much are they typically? Are they fine the way they are or should the be Ported and polished?

PS: How much are AFR heads?

Vortecs and SDPC intake base is the route I'm going as well

You can get them from Jegs, GMPP, Scoggin-Dickey, etc. Cheapest I've found is Jegs, ~$480 (that's with the smaller lift springs). Couldn't hurt to port and polish them They flow really well stock I don't see big improvements by P/P them.

Talking

I own the Scoggin Dickey GM Crate HO 350 w/TPI base and it is AWESOME!!!! Totally different from my L98.......The only way I can describe it is I now have the power naturally aspirated that I had with L98 on 75 shot of juice. I have been meaning to go to the dyno, but too damn lazy to do it

Once I go I will post my numbers......then stick a Superram on there

Later

ooo if someone was going to buy me any head i wanted id be all over a set of afr's. Double what semi-comparable competetors charge but afr's are simply the best.
