well i went and bought another iroc after a vette

well i have to say fourth gen vettes are over rated i'm back with the third gen iroc. But there are things i don't understand about this car so I could use some help. it's a 89 iroc with tpi injection and a LT1 block and heads which the guy bought from gm. the paper work says it has less than 5,000 on the block gm also installed the motor. they say the car has 315 horsepower is that right. if so these are the mods i have just put in bbk throttle body, kand n filter,3 chamber flows and 4 inch tips, bbk shorty headers, hypertech chip and 160 termostat. full tune up with all bosch and accel components. what do you think my horsepower is and what should i run in the quarter mile oh its automatic 700r4 from a 92 camaro z28 with b/m shifter oh it's not posi i know i'm saving up more money as we speak.and not that it matters but it also has a cowl induction and home made ram air.

You should have saved half your money and only bought one slick since you don't have a posi rear.

Not a knock, but it sounds like there is more to the story if you had the means to buy, yet chose an F-body over an 89-96 Vette.

What kind of things did you look at?

I want to know what you did to get a GEN II block and heads with a TPI set up. Unless of course you mean an original LT1 block and heads which would also require some changes. I think someone is blowing smoke up your ***.

This car have a distributor? Aluminun heads? Not sure about this, but I agree the Camaro is a much better driver than the Vette. Wouldn't trade my 88 even for a mid 80s Vette.

Ah! I see. I wouldn't buy an 84 vette either.
