want 275/40 R17 tires..

I want to put on 275/40 R17 Tires on my car but I don't know what Rims to use except the SLP Firehawks which I think don't look that good. Can anyone give me suggestions? Preferable direct fit rims that doesn't need spacers. Thanks.

I'm in the market for some new wheels for the Roc. Not many options. I'll let you know if I find some nice ones.

ROH makes a few direct fit designs that look great on our cars. Particularly the Snyper and ZS

no matter what 17" rim you choose, you want to run a 275/40 tire size. It is the plus size to the 245/50/16's so it won't affect your speedo, plus you have enough sidewall to protect the rims

Trust me, I tried to use the cheaper 245/45/17's and was unsuccessful due to my aggressive driving style and poorly maintained roads in the area I used to live in. Resulted in 1 bent rim and 2 cracked rims. None of the rims would hold a balance

275/40 tires are for rims that are 8-9.5" wide. If you got 17x7's (I don't know why you'd go with skinny wheels) you'd run the 245/45/17.

The SLP Firehawk rim is one of the only ones that you can run the 275/40/17 on the front and get no wheel rub when turning.

If you are going to use 275/40 R17 I would suggest at least
using a 17x9" wheel. I am using 17x8s with 255/45-17 on the
front and 17x9.5s with 285/40-17 on the rear of my 84 z28. I
went with a 4.5" BS on the fronts and a 5.5" BS on the rear and
I don't have any rubbing issues. My wheels are from Centerline
but I know alot of other manufacturers that will custom make your
wheels with the BS you need. You can check out my car at
my cardomain website, and good luck finding some wheels that
you like.
