I have to get my heads machined for bigger diameter valve springs. What is the going rate? I need to know what it'll cost for the machine work, a set of springs to handle .525 lift, and whatever else it may need (seals, etc.)..

How much? Anyone been thru this?

 

I'll check out an old CHP Magazine I have at work for ya. It lists everything you need for the swap in something like a 2-3 page article. Valve guides definately need to be machined down i remember that much. Shouldn't set ya back TOO much but it will definately be worth it. They went from a Hotcam to a 230/236 XE grind with well over .525 lift Made biiig power for those little heads...but then again, it's a magazine. Later man
