Vette servo

I've seen this mentioned in several threads. What is it, where does it go, and where can you pick one up?

It goes in your tranny, it replaces the small apply area stock servo with the Corvette piece witch has a much larger apply area. Giving you a firmer first to second shift with less chance of the band slipping. Any tranny shop should be able to get you one, they are kind of a standard rebuild piece.

If you have to ask what it is and its location, my opinion would be that you don't need it. So do a little more research on the subject. (hint: in the tranny)

Get an ATSG book and see where it goes, or do a little research on this as there is plenty of information on this. As to what the Corvette servo does, it will firm up 2nd gear (apply area larger) & 3rd gear (accumulation, more apply oil directed to 3rd gear).
