Smile type of rearend to buy?

hey guy's putting a built 355 with 400th stage 3 shift kit in my 86 camaro and was wondering what to go with a 12 bolt or a ford 9?
where to buy and how much they run?

also how wide and tall of tire can be put on rear without tubbing?
i kindda want a pro street look with 15 inch rims?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

There are several companies that make those rears, but the best include Moser, Currie, and Strange. No matter brand or which rear you choose, you're looking at $2000-$3000 depending upon components.

A 15x10 with 5.5" backspacing and a 28x10.50 is about as large as you can go without major fab work. That tire should clear with a 15x8 with no mods, and the 15x10 will require minor reshaping of the inner well and rolling the lip.
