tuned 305 TBI

Hi,

I am just about to put together a slightly tuned 305 1989 TBI Camaro engine with a T5 gearbox, and I'm wondering about the HP it might produce
here are the parts that are going to be installed, bear in mind the stock engine has 170HP.

* LT1 camshaft, new timing components -pushrods, chain etc.(not stock)
* Be cool High performance thermostats 160' degree
* Hypertech cool fan switches 176' ON, 166' OFF
* Accel ignition control module
* MSD Distributor Cap and Rotor Kits
* MSD Heli-Core Spark Plug Wire Sets
* FlowTech Headers, shorty style
* MSD ignition coil
* open air filter

i know it's not much, but what HP and TQ gain can i expect from this setup?
any comments (positive or negative) are welcome, any suggestions etc

regards
Unix

no headers or exhaust? IF yours actually put 170 down to the wheels then I would guess 190hp and maby a little more tq... but i remember seeing some post a few years ago on 3rdgen.org where people's dyno numbers on stock tbi cars were 150-160hp and around 255tq... get it dynoed and tell us! Good luck

1.if i don't do the prom tune will the engine run ok anyway? i'm not into performance too much so i just wan't the car to accelerate and idle in a decent manner.
2. the catalytic converter is cut out, there is only 1 muffler with 2 outlets in the back which is gutted , should be ok
3. jeez that'll be a nice upgrade since i'm going from my V6 135hp

i'm concerned about this prom tune, since in Poland there is really 1 garage where they know what they're doing with f-body computers, and it's not cheap as u might guess.

I would listen to this man. He took a POS TBI and made it run like a champ

BUT.. with the stock intake/heads on that TBI, your really going to be choked up. If you could somehow slap some other heads/intake on there, your power will be significanly be increased over waht you will be pushing w/ everything done w/out the heads/intake.

But there is two guys on the board that tune PCM's. Do a search for PCM-For Less and shoot.. what's the other one? Anybody?? The guys name is Ion. Search that name But these guys should be able to hook you up w/ a good tune.
