Tune up

Hi Guys,

Need some info.looking to tune up my 1992 Z28. It has original wires.(16000 miles) Should I go with GM wires or aftermarket.Help me

Well, here's my opinion, and I'm by no means an expert: I say it depends on how "upgraded" your car is and what fits in your budget. If it's mostly stock and you're semi-money conscious: get GM replacements. If you've got a bunch of aftermarket goodies in it, you're probably trying to squeeze as much performance out of it as possible, and you've probably got more of a budget for your car then I'd reccommend a higher end wire.

This is what I did when I did my tune-up:


Taylor 8mm wires $50-ish
AC Delco Platinum plugs $dont remember, check Autozone
GM throttle body/top engine cleaner $12-ish
Sea Foam (put it in the gas tank) $10-ish
MSD distributor cap $25
MSD Blaster GM coil $40-ish
