Transmission cooler

Will be using a high stall converter and need a tranny cooler. Looking for recommendations and maybe some pictures of where you mounted the cooler.

Re: Transmission cooler

Hell.. Me personally, I go all out when it comes to engine and driveline cooling. You are talking about a high-performance tranny, that is handling a lot of power and will prolly be abused a bit. Why not spend an extra $20 or so, and get the best cooling you can. Tranny's run hot, keep it kool Just get that 28,000 gvw or whatever it is.. that is what I would do anyhow.

Re: Transmission cooler

If you drive it in the winter, I would not get the biggest and baddest because the fluid might get too cold. Otherwise, if this is a summer car, get the biggest.

Re: Transmission cooler

Thanks for the all the info. I went and ordered the 20,000 GVW part 400-3820. As far as winter goes, that never even crossed my mind but then again I live is Southern Cali. (for now that is)

Re: Transmission cooler

It doesn't really matter if the fluid gets cold aklim, not going to hurt anything.
BTW.. good choice. Flex A Lite products are GREAT products
