Hey all, I have a '89 RS Convertable with a 5.7L v8 (not stock), and I was having some problems with the transmission not shifting properly while I took off when it was cold, now it shifts 1st, 2nd and then when its supposed to go into 3rd, the engine just over revs and it won't go anywhere.. If I stomp it, it jumps up and halls butt but then it drops back down and starts over reving.. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

 

It`s f****d you need a rebuild...that`s the most common faluire on th700`s, sorry to hear though

 

If your fluid level is correct and it doesn't smell burnt, drop the pan and you probably will find metal chips in it.
