Tranmission Coolant Lines

When I did the v6-v8 swap my tranmission coolant lines got all messed up, so I ended up using some high psi rubber hose for the tranmission coolant lines. Anyway, one of those burst the other day while I was driving around, and I have since bought some copper line and bent it with a bender and used the original compression fittings on the th350. The only problem is there's a drip directly from the fitting that I absolutely cannot get rid of. I have flared and reflared until the point that I have no more extra to cut and reflare and I still have this drip. Anyone ever had to run custom tranny coolant lines, and what's normally used. I'm thinking the flare is just not big enough on the transmission, and if I use thicker pipe it won't fit in the fitting, and if I flare it out any bigger it will crack...help me plz! Any suggestions would be awesome.

3/8 or 5/16 steel brake line works depending on the size of the fittings needed in the tranny and rad. It has the proper double flare and can be bent as required. Copper line is soft and can easily be rubbed through causing more problems.
