tps sensor

hello again everybody,
can someone tell me what keeps changing my tps settings?
everytime i set i to .540,ill drive for the day and the settings willchange,..i know its tight and isnt moving...would that explain my crappy idle when it gets warm?

It could explain your crappy idle. That sounds flakey. Make sure the reference voltage is constant at 5V before you change stuff.

There are 3 wires in the TPS. One is ground, the other is the input to the ECM and the third is the reference voltage. That is a 5 volt signal sent to the TPS. The black wire is ground and either the Grey or the Dk blue is the reference. The other is the input to the ECM. The ground is easy to find. When you probe the other 2 wires and find one to be 5V then you have found the reference wire. The other is the input to ECM.
