TPI to some kinda intake question.

I have the money to buy an upgrade intake but I can't decide. This is a new project since my SS is no more. The mini-ram which is basically an LT-1 intake is supposedly the best inake manifold. However if you go to the LT1 forum everybody there wanting to make over 430 rwhp n/a is ditching the LT1 manifold for single plane intake manifolds. Everybody here talks about the Holley intake. What makes it so great. Is the Super ram the best intake. I want to make a lot power n/a and I want to go fast. The L98 due to head choices has a lot more potential than LT1's and there a lots of LT1's running deep into the 11's. Some in the 10's with solid rollers. I'm leaning more to the single plane intake. Does anyone know what the differant intake manifolds actually flow?

www.stealthram.com has an interesting comparison.

That is some good reading material. The HSR is higher on my list now then it was. Now I'm torn between the vic jr. and the HSR. I'm probably going to be running brodix IK200 heads. They flow 261 cfm as a casting. I'm planning on running these heads because they have plenty of potential to make 500rwhp with port work and a solid roller. I just don't want to have to buy an intake twice. I think the HSR looks the coolest of the optional intake. But that is my least concern.

Yeah if you looked the victor Jr. and HSR each flowed exactly the same cfms.

HSR as far as an aftermarket solution.

If you're looking at buying heads, I'd look into AFR's they have the best flow outta the box. They got 515 hp on a 383 w/ 195 heads, Comp Cam, and a Holley 750. If no one buys my Stealth Ram setup, I'll have to try and get mine together and dynoed. 383, AFR 220's, HSR, ZZ9 cam for now.

If you're interested in a HSR setup, PM me. Chris.

I bought dart heads from a guy on ebay. Yoders performance parts. They were iron eagle assmbled heads. Brand new castings. $895 shipped. the aluminum heads were around $1200 I think.
