I have a 305 TBI and I was wondering if I could use TPI heads on it?? I found a set of them for around $100 bucks which would be much cheaper than buying new ones. Plus I am not planning on doing much to my engine.

 

I would think the heads would fit. What year is the manifold from? What about the heads. The center bolt holes were slightly different in different years.

 

as long as they are 86 or newer tpi, they will bolt right up, they flow much better than TBI heads, i think the biggest bottle neck of the stock TBI is exhaust, heads and cam.....in that order


mack sure they are 305TPI heads, or you will lose compression

 

Yea I have some of my exhaust done I am working on finishing that up with Cat and Headers. I just happened to see these heads the other day and it got me to thinking. Thanx for the response.
