I got a 305 TPI from an 87 z-28 for free. The motor runs good, but I want to tear it down and rebuild it. I'm gonna take the TPI setup off and carburate it. I'm gonna put it in my dad's 67 Impala. My main questions are: Will any 4 barrel intake bolt on to the heads (87+ 305 with center bolt valve covers). What 4 barrel carb would you recommend (Not looking for 400 horse or anything, but I want it to move pretty decent). Will any non-computerized distributer work? Will the fuel pump bolt right to the block or will changes need to be made? Am I missing anything? Thanks for all the help!

 

Make sure that you run a camshaft that will have a cam for the fuel pump on it. You will have to get an intake for the center bolt heads, I am not sure on the carb...650 maybe. Try going into 1st gen tech and asking the question...or the lounge. Get a Vacuum advanced HEI distributer, and I think you should be set.
