smogging an 1987 Z28
just got a 87z 5.7 that hasn't been drove for a very long time, it's a manual transmission, i dont know much bout why it didn't pass smog but the pre test doesnt' say, any suggestions of what the problem may be.

Without having the numbers its very difficult to tell you what is wrong. It could be a bad catalytic converter, a bad EGR valve or EGR solenoid, bad spark plugs or wires, bad cap & rotor, etc, etc.
