they had two carbed 305s in 1982 if i recall correctly, both were not very imprssive on the HP note though. I'm exactly sure about the smog pump.

Contact Holley. They have versions of their Weiand/Holley 144 roots-style blower that are emissions legal. You will need at least a 4" cowl hood to fit it under. It will work with the stock compter-controlled QJet carb and distributor and ECM of that year.

You can run a non-computer carb and non-computer distributor, but it's gonna have to be tuned carefully to pass emissions.

no, that means if you want to run a blower carb setup and be emissions legal, you have to go with say an 82 carbed car to be legal. just because on year had a carb doesnt mean you car will.

also why not just run a centrifugal setup on your tpi? it will be a LOT easier to install, might be a bit cheaper, make the same or better hp and might get a tick or 2 better mpg.

Talking cent. blower and tpi

i have an 87' but i can get an 82' the truth is i took the tpi apart and now i'm lost on how i'm gonna get it back togother also it's very expensive to do some real **** to these cars.

runners $400
intake$400
inj. $400
throttle body $400
wiring harness$400
cent. blower $3000
that alone equals $5000

roots blower$2,300
carb$600
total$2,900

really i'm just intimidated of the tpi ( putting it back together)

say i bought a wiring harness from howell eng. they sell a hotrod kit cleans up the wires anyways if i do with eveything will i be easier to put back together is there a book i can get to help me
