TPI 350 modification

Due to losing my job i had to sell my WS6 so now I am looking for a 88-91 Trans Am GTA or Formula 350 and was just wondering what mods are the best for the TPI?? I am looking at the SLP TOTL Cat-back system. but just need some advice.

What is the best CAI?? so far i've liked the homemade CAI's i've seen over production versions.

Heads? Are there any cheap options for the TPI heads like Corvette heads or something? i've heard vortec heads work but i want to use the stealth ram intake. OR is there another good intake that works with those heads

Cams?

who has a good budget-minded stall converter out (about 2400 stall)

Headers?? I know long tubes will give more power but what are the best shorties I could get.

Is the PCMFORLESS chip programming good? I know the program is good for the LT1

Suspension I know what I am going to do.
Eibach Sportline springs, KYB AGX shocks, adj panhard bar, LCA's, LCA relocation brakets, subframes, steering box brace, and strut tower bar.

Also is there any free mods that can be done to the TPI.

I just want a nice running TPI nothing crazy just a low 13 high 12 car. thanks guys

By the way does anybody on here know any 88-92 Trans Am or Formula 350 for sale? hey, i'd even go for a '91-92 IROC or Z28 but only TPI 350's.

I like the homemade CAI, that's what I'm going to do. It's effective and real cheap.

Heads- I'm going with Pro Topline 200CC's (on a 383). Seeing you're on a budget, check out some 180cc runner volume P/T's (www.flatlanderracing.com).
Vortecs really aren't cheap--> $500 (heads) + $400 (intake). That's already more than a set of assembled Pro Toplines.

Headers- I've heard good stuff about MAC and SLP shorties.

Your suspension setup will be sweet!

Free mods-

Technically it wont fit under a stock hood, but it will fit under a hood with some bracing cut out.

Hey Rippin, what does the MAC stand for in your post. I'm in the market for some new headers. I'd like to look them up if they have a website. Thanks

you can build your own ram air set up. adjustable fuel pressure regulater, higher volume fuel pump (actually adds hp dont ask me how but its been tested), porting the tpi plenum knocking out the little blocks behind the throttle body also helps, siamese port the base. gut the cat thats a must and if your lucky and only need a visuall inspection done you wont have any problems. you could find a set of double hump 2.02 heads cheap that need rebuilding and seeing your using a gen I block theyll bolt right on but youll just need to drill out the 2 inside bolt holes on the tpi base so itll bolt on but youll have more of a parts selection with perimeter bolt heads. roller rockers will help free up hp to and a 91-92 will already have roller cam so why not go full roller. if your planning reburning the prom go with some 1.6 rockers instead of 1.5's.

MAC is a brand, like Hooker, Edelbrock, etc. I forget who sells them. Maybe check out www.thunderracing.com
