With an L98? In good running condition, I've read ~145. That's being restricted because of the A4. Slap in a 6spd and you're ready for 150 I think the A4 just brings it out of it's peak power range. Heck, my little LO3 RS has touched 130.

I've heard they can do 145 with 3.27 gears. Might be a bit higher with the 2.77 gears they also offered that year.

Thanks! I figured somewhere less than that. It doesn't pull nearly as hard as my LS1 above 100, but I haven't got the urge to find out in that car......

I have hit roughly 155 in my 92 Z. It pulls rather well above 100.

Edit: BTW it needs a tune-up bad.

It is CRAZY to pull those speeds in any street car!

Guys and gals!

Be safe--did you see Mario Andretti's wild blue yonder adventure last year when he took his son's Indy car to only 160 mph and went airborne?

That was with a dedicated race car. 3rd gens are NOT dedicated race cars!

Hit 145+ twice in my '88Z. Once in'89,and once '94 that was enough for me. The second time damn near hit a deer, hell he is probably still spinning in the road!
