I have an 83 crossfire injected trans Am. Last night i got on the gas a bit, and once i backed out of it, i noticed my Rpms were not coming down, they were hanging right around 1500. At normal idle it should be like around 500-700 rpm. If i put the car in park, or nuetral, the engine idles at 3300 rpm, if i try to put it in drive, or reverse, its like dumping the clutch. I would assume this has some thing to do with a cable or spring being stuck some where, please help!! i'm a college studend, 200 miles away from home, so i want to fix it myself!!!
