Which brand did you use? Are you happy with the quality? And how does the finish product in the car look?
Please also post any opinions you have about aftermarket carpet.
Thanks alot, Mike

i'm sure you've heard it before so i won't say it; just explains why no one posted i guess.
ACC, better than new for both answers.
tore my old seats and carpet out and replaced with my new carpet and 4thgen seats all within a 15 hour period straight.
took me a while because i had never done anything like it before and about 3-4 hours went into properly preping the bare floor.
only slight cutting was needed. mainly by the doors and the transmission hole. lay over top of the bolts and x mark them so you can push right through and it's easy.
if i had to do it again the only tips i could give you would be to let the carpet lay out in the sun so that it can soften up and don't throw out your old carpet; use it as a template to match the new carpet. other than that measure twice and cut once. it's easy.

stock carpets r tuff
I pulled out all the carpet in my 85' V6 and took it to the car wash and took the sparyer to them.
I washed out a few pounds of dirt some sand a few gallons of dried spilled beer leaked coolant and some dried s#it or some thing like it.
It looked all most new after wards, a different lighter color, it was all the same color all over and after it was back in I noticed the car smelled different (newer).
If it's stained just pull it out and clean it but if it's tore up get new carpet.

Hey Kandied91Z, what did you have to do to the floor for prepping? Does the new carpet use adhesive?
And Oil Pan 4, I would try washing but there are some places that are thin and about to rub through. Plus, I want it to be black as it can get. My friend just washed his carpet though, and it worked out for him.

nope..........you could i suppose if you wanted to. i didn't. at the time i didn't even think about it. i had to prep the floor because their was minor surface rust down where the pedals are from being a daily driver through winter months and i also had to get off all the adhesive from the stock carpet. i added some sound insulation as well to a few areas. so stripping all the old glue, sanding and painting the few little rusted areas and insulating it didn't take me to long.
you could use adhesive if you wanted too. i don't see why you would though as it isn't like you need it.
good luck

Well, I put the LT1/M6 and 4th gen rear in by myself and Procharger should be on in a couple of months. But not before I convert to rack and pinion. I might be able to handle that carpet
i don't know about that..........it's a whole nother ball game.
good luck with it, i'd go through jc whitney as they have the best prices on acc. i made the mistake of going through acc and paid about 100 more than i should have. great carpet though!
