Is there an easy way to check fuel lines?

I smell gas when Im around my car, I think alot of it is I have a huge cam and havent done anything to my intake yet so I dont have the air flow necessary to burn off all the fuel but i think it would be wise to check the lines anyway.

I assume you don't have a Cat on that beast. And that is a HUGE cam. Lumpy cams always dump a load of unburnt fuel into the exhaust. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

You know that your stock programming is gonna be way out to lunch with that cam, right? Even with the MAF to help keep it reasonably close it won't be close enough. You could be, in reality, running rich (or lean). I wouldn't drive it around like that for thousands of miles for fear of hurting the motor due to deing badly out of tune.

My brother always thinks his Cat-less 87 GTA (with similarly modified engine) smells like gas, even though it's running just fine. He does have the correct programming to run his combo, however. I grew up with lumpy cams, leaded gas and no cats, so I don't even notice it.

Cool

You guessed it no cat here. But im not quite sure I follow you on the programming thing I assume you mean the prom; if thats what your talking about Im buying a TPI's stage III prom from a guy on the board as we speak. But I think my biggest problem is the totally stock TPI set-up, no porting anywhere. The only mod is no MAF screen. Other than the fact that Im not totally convinced that thres not a small leak somewhere the car was never all that amazing on gas but sincie I replaced that fuel pump its just ridiculous now.
