I am replaceing the iginition control module with accell one and i ws wondering while I am in there is there anything else I should check? Can I spray it with a cleaner? Can I put dielectric grease on all of the plug connections? thanks

 

Make sure to put plenty of "WHITE" "heat-sink" grease under the module, or it will fail again...dielectric grease won't do it. Check for bare spots on the wiring in there too.

 

Where do I get this grease from?

 

Most auto parts stores will carry the heat sink grease(I don't recall the proper name for it)for module installtion.Dielectric grease is good for spark plug boots - both ends,inside wire connectors and on lamp contact bases.While you have the dist open,before you install the module,you could use a good quality electrical contact cleaner - most have a drying agent - to clean the housing of residue from the contact arc inside the cap.Low pressure compressed air,even the can type you use on computors,is good to clean it ou.
