No im not going to drop in a 350 so please dont post that. I just want some decent mods to give it a little more kick nothing major. Im not dragging the car either just want a fun daily driver that can heckle the ricers lol when the SS is at home.

its only been 2 hours and its still at the top of the board relax this board isnt that busy.

For a 305 its tough to say because it takes a ton of money to really do anything with them and what your idea of a little bit of jump in it is.

I would probably sugest gears because im going to guess you have 2.32 gears so some 3.23's would really wake that car up and make it less of a dog off the line. Other then that i dont know much about carbed motors so wait for a few more responses

You have an open air element?? Yea gears would help as well. If it is automatic you could get a shift kit?

how bout an open element air filter or else a dual snorkel setup for cold air induction?

maybe a good intake manifold swap...like an edelbrock performer or RPM

full tune up is always a good idea, including maybe bumping the timing

All these guys suggestions are good. Since you've already got the exhaust nailed, my suggestion is this:

1) Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold (~$120)
2) Edelbrock Performer 4BBL 600 CFM carb (or go 650 if you feel you must)
3) Open element container and K&N 14x3" filter

The intake/carb/filter swap really opened her up. If you don't have SFC's I'd make that one of my first priorities. I can't stress enough what an incredible difference they make. I used Spohn's... not expensive, and incredible results. Bar none the best money I ever stuck into my bird.

Another "big bang for the buck" would be a cam swap, if you can do the labor yourself. All the 80's f-bods got terribly weak cams. If you got a decent sized crane cam (or edelbrocks carb/intake/cam kit), you could kick the horsepower up by 40-60.

Definately man. If you're not aiming for godliness, a 305's all you really need to have some fun.

It all depends on what you're aiming for. There's a link floating around somewhere of a 320 horsepower 305... And that was an economy build. Vortec heads (can be had cheap on ebay---just a couple hundred), a badass crane cam (a little more then $100), and an edelbrock intake and carb ($400 or so). 320 horse... 15 horsepower more then an LS1 Z28 is rated at from factory (yes, I know they were underrated, I'm just trying to give you confidence ).

320 Horsepower for about a grand or so. Not too shabby.

Yep! CrimsonGild is my screenname. I'm not on much this week as I'm living with my parents (in a transition from the dorms to my apartment), but I'll be on regularly Sunday and after. Message me sometime.

Just checked out your website. Your SS is gorgeous, as is your friends.

What kind of enclosure is that that you have your subs hooked into? I like that. Very sharp and it looks like it was MEANT to be there.

Should post some pics of the berly.

Thats the Jl audio stealth box for 3 10inch 10w6 woofers. Its on a hydraulic lift too so when i press a button thats hidden in the trunk it rotates up automatically. man i need to get more pics up of it lol. If it wasnt raining i would shoot some. The amps are precision power each amp puts out 1400 watts. I have a total of nineteen speakers in the car.
