test drive question

Is there anywhere around the Captial Region of New York where you can rent a camaro or something or at least test drive one. I really wanna ride in one or drive one sometime, im planning on getting one and i'd at least love to know what they are like, i've always wanted to at least ride in one, its my favorite car.

You should be able to test drive any car on a dealer lot. You don't want to know how many C5's and Z06's I've test driven.

yeah, it would be nice to test drive one but my dad isn't crazy about it cuz the guy might want us to buy it , we dont have the money though right now. My mom seems interested though, she likes those cars too. Im 16, and i dont have a job yet, im getting one this summer. Im sure I wont regret it when i buy one. The only thing thats gonna be a pain in the *** is that V8's love gas and the gas prices are getting ridiculous. Its around 2.10 at Sunoco.

Hey, the salesman can expect all he wants, that doesn't mean you are required to do anything. Go up there with your dad and ask if you can test drive one of the cars that you like. If the guy lets you, all is good, if not then don't go back there. When you get back and the salesman asks if you want to go over the papers just politely decline. I usually just tell them that the car doesn't have enough azz for my taste. Heck, I've even taken a brand spankin new convertable for one of those 24 hour test drives with absolutely no intention of buying one. It's fun hittin the club on Friday night with a brand new Vette.

the difference in one year between a 4 cyl and an 8 on gas is only like $400 dollars. and in one year i don't think thats a huge difference as long as you dont have a big commute. i read in a car buying guide that you should never consider gas mileage when buying a car cuz its not really a big deal. don't know if i totally agree but the points there.

True, until you start slapping on mods and you start liking how the exhaust sounds at WOT, then gas mileage differences between the two becomes more appreciable. Plus with gas prices increasing with no end in sight, owning a v8 is becoming less attractive for those of us who do commute. That 70mpg hybrid is starting to look like a good investment, especially since you get a tax break with them.
