TCI breakway 2400 converter wont slide in

I have a brand new 242960 non lock up stall converter and it wont slide into the 700r4, The trans is a 27 spline and so is the converter. Is there something im doing wrong, or is it defective.

Company sell the non lock up converters and they also sell kits to get rid of the lock up feature.

Are you sure that the convertor is a 27 spline? Do your best to count the amount of splines. Just wiggle it around and push it in, should click twice..

Yup i counted both the converter and the tranny. When i put the converter on it goes in alittle bit and then it stops. Even if i push, wiggle ,and turn it nothing has worked.

You have to keep spinning it to get past all of the shafts, I think. Mine first went in like a half n inch then I spun it and it went in a little bit more then I turned it again and it clicked in and then it was all the way on. I put a B&M torquemaster on my 700.

you may need to play with it for a while, the clearances may be pretty tight, we had to wiggle, spin, push, pull for about 20 minute to get my buddies 4500 stall vigilante onto his input shaft

I have tried spinning it and everything for like a half hour and it wouldnt move the rest of the way in. Do you think it would be ok to use a rubber hammer to push it in the rest of the way.

Yes that was a no for the rubber hammer. Do not pound your convertor in. You should take it off, fill it over 1/2 full with tranny fluid and tru again. Spin it both ways to ensure that you are doing it correctly. I have installed 2 of them on my 700 and they both seemed to pull themselved on while I was spinning them.
