tbi to carb- how??

I want to put a older 350 in my 88 sportcoupe camaro, can i use the in-tank fuel pump? What do u need to accomplish this? The 350 going in has a eldelbrock 650 carb. I was told i could get a fuel pressure regualator but i don't know how this would work.

Thanks for the info!

Re: tbi to carb- how??

Do a search in this forum and also on www.thirdgen.org

It's been discussed MANY times. I did it and all went well.

BASICS:

Regulate fuel pressure down to 5-7PSI with a "return style" fuel pressure regulator from Mallory or Aeromotive.

A custom Lokar throttle and transmission kick-down cable are a nice addition, along with a 700R4 kickdown cable bracket for your edelbrock carb.

I did a new Proform HEI distributor with mechanical and vac. advance in place of the computer controlled stock piece. Hook up the tachometer wire properly. All other guages should still work perfectly, even with the computer removed.

Your torque converter will not lockup on it's own however. You can wire in a simple manual switch to lock it once the car is in 3-4th gear or buy a Painless wiring lockup kit and install it per instruction. I did manual switch.(lazy...he he)

Still..do a search. Goodluck!!
