Taking off the front bumper cover.

I just recieved my new Z28 bumper cover so i can finally take off the nasty v6 cover thats on my 87 Z28 now. Ive taken off all of the bolts but the 2 at the very top, what i was wondering is does that whole headlight panel have to come off with the cover too? it looks like those 2 bolts run through them and ill have to take it off to get the cover off.

i think when you take off those two bolts it also disconnects part of the headlight panel, but the headlight panel sits behind the bumper, no requirement to remove the headlight panel.

The headlight bar has to come out with the nose. I'ts screwed into it. those 4 bolts go through the fender, through tabs on the nose and then screw into the fiberglass light bar, same style bolt/stud thats used on spoilers and ground effects. once the nose is off the car then you can remove the screws that hold the lights in, don't foget about the screws up near the air filters are when you are trying to remove the nose.
