Post Tach needle sticking...what can/should I do?

My tach needle sticks (randomly) when I get anything above 3k, and it bugs the hell outta me! It seems to do it more in hot weather, but I can tell it wants to, even when it's cooler outside.

I'm going to the track for the first time tonight, and I REALLY don't want my tach sticking while I'm trying to race.

I've got another gauge cluster, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of swapping it out just to race...not my idea of fun.

Anyone have any ideas for me? I'd appreciate it if 'ya did...

Thanks!

Eric

you might want to spray a little graphite into the back of the tach for some lubrication.

I know you're still gonna have to pull the cluster apart but its worth a shot

Fill me in if you would.
