T5 Transmission bolt up questions

Does the T5 transmission have the same bolt hole pattern in all its incarnations? In other words, would a v8 bolt to a v6 bellhousing? How about a Mustang or Jeep spec'd transmission?

thanks

Depends on the 6, if i remember correctly the 2.8 had some funny bell housing. I think it goes with the 3.1 though. I could be wrong, its been a long time since i've dealt with a 3rd gen 6 cyl.

The input shaft needs to match. This is the problem. The 2.8 has a different spline count on the input shaft, so unless you use the 2.8 clutch with the V8 bellhousing and pressure plate, you can't do it. Of course, you'll grenade the 2.8 trans in no time anyway.

I'm trying to remember what the T5s on the jeeps looked like. Most of those had a cast iron case, and I don't think their bolt locations were in the same spot. But, again you'll run into an issue with the input shaft. The jeep input shaft might not even be the same length.
