Exclamation SUPERCHARGER for My "87 IROC 350 TPI

Hi .... I'm new to this forum and I am looking for some direction on supercharging my 1987 IROC 350 TPI. I looked at VORTECH and PRO CHARGER but I can't seem to find a part to fit this model year,I can't believe that there isn't a model available for this year, they all start at 1988 and up.Why is this ??? The only difference I see is the engine belt pulley system,or is there something else which is why they don't offer anything for this year ? I e-mailed these manufacturers but haven't receive any reponse from them yet.

Thanks
Rob

You would have to convert to a serpentine belt setup as the SC is driven by the serpentine. 88 might of switched to speed density which is different from your mass air system. Correct me if im wrong.

The Vortech and ATI kits are designed around the factory serpentine belt system used from 1988. These kits will not physically fit the factory multi v-belt system, last used on the 1987 F-body. Converting is the only logical answer to installing one of these supercharger kits. I've done it and here's the result:

To correct some info above, these superchargers are not driven off the factory belt. They incorporate their own 6 or 12-rib belt.

These kits work with both MAF and SD systems. The first year for SD was 1990.

I have recently switched to twin turbos and I will be selling my ProCharger stuff very soon. My system is probably the ultimate street setup. It includes an ATI F1 head unit (not for the faint at heart) with less than 1,000 miles with cogs and custom blower bracket bracing made by ASSC Racing. It will also include custom made cog idler pullies, crank cog adapter, a SuperDamper inner hub with double keyways and a modified polished aluminum timing chain cover to accept the inner hub.
