Subframe connectors question

How hard is it to install subframe connectors when you have aftermarket headers with an aftermarket y-pipe?? The reason i ask is because i thought i read/heard from somewhere that they are made for the stock exhaust setup with the dimensions and all. Well i have an exhaust with y-pipe, etc. and i was wondering if there would have to be modifications done to my exhaust in order to fit the subframes on there....

Thanks,

Eric

I have stock exhaust and my spohn subframes don't fit... I'm getting headers/y-pipe in order to get around it. :P Depends on manufacturer.

I have SLPs and am using Alston SFC and they bolt in just fine. The headers go into a Random Tech cat and then 3 in SLP exhaust pipe. Actually welded in.

SLP 1 3/4 Headers and SLP 3" Catback exhaust and Installed Spohn tube type SFC's . The only Problem was I had to remove the heat sheild from the Cat. And that was covered in the instructions from Spohn. Best upgrade I made on my car. Tighter now then when it was brand new (original owner of 1987 IROC-Z).

we couldnt clear my exhaust either, so we put on one side for now, have to do the same and get headers and custom y pipe to fit the other.

I wish I knew if the hedman y-pipe would clear... Still debating if I want to go hedman longtubes or shorties... the longtubes'd be an even bigger pain in the ***, clearance wise...
