Stronger 700R4, new rear, drivetrain?

Anyone know any websites of companies that rebuilt 700R4's stronger to handle more HP?

How does a rear replacement work? Between splines and all that, someone care to explain?

When you put in a higher HP motor in a car that came stock with 180, what needs to be replaced? Rear? Tranny? Drivetrain? What will 200 more HP affect? I'm researching for the future restoration and engine swap on my Iroc and am sorta lost.

Any tips for what I should prepare for when putting in what will probably be a 350-400HP motor in a stock 87' Iroc...if it's to be driven daily what needs to be replaced? How hard is it gonna be to pass emissions? Will the DMV take 1 look under the hood and laugh or is there a way to make an engine swap "appear" or be legal.

I'm pretty far away from actually doing all this due to money but this is probably gonna be a long term project and I'm looking to see what I'm gonna have to deal with. I'm feeling pretty good about building/swapping the motor however all the other things I'm gonna have to do to keep the car from falling apart due to the horsepower is over my head.

Thnx

I had good luck with my Rossler built trans behind the LPE 383. It lasted 3.5 years with me beating on it. This company was recommended by LPE and is in Girard Ohio.
