INFL REST???

Anyone know what that means when that flashes in red on the guage cluster of a 92 Camaro RS. 305 TBI car with auto trans. My sisters car did it the other day. Just curious.

Inflatible (sp?) restraint, aka air bag. I think its supposed to flash 5 times to tell you its working right, look in the owners manual, it says in there!

Are you joking chuck!?! Funny how it works NOW when I was trying to trace down what seems like a slight miss-fire every now and then, and the fact that her windshield wipers were not working when this all started...Hmm..

thanks!

Sounds to me like you're chasing an iffy ground. I hate it for ya man, electrical gremlins are HARD to get rid of...

It should flash when you start the car not when you are driving.

Well

If it is like mine the manual said that it flashes five times or stays on five seconds during start up while it cycles itself. Whern it comes on during driving that means that it is storing a trouble code. I would hook something up to the ALDL connector and see what the problem is.
