Striped stud on back wheel

How hard is it to replace a stripped lug nut stud on the back wheel?

E-Z just knock the old one out an put the new one in put afew flat washers on the stud ,then an old lugnut backwards so the flat side is against the washers and tighten to pull the stud in all the way, remove nut& washers, then install wheel and torque to proper specifications, recheck after afew (50-60)miles. You might have to spin the axle to clear componets but you should be able to get it out without pulling the axle.

Just smack the MF'er with hammer until it pops out. Then follow IROC-T's install...

I find that a 3 pound mini-sledgehammer works very well. A 32oz ball peen will also work but takes a few more hits.

I prefer a slightly different wording on that one.....

"If brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough."
