stock heads CC's

Alright fellas,

Building a new stocker motor for another friends car. Have some questions as to the intake and exaust valve sizes on the 305 and 350 heads. And also what CC's are the heads on the 305 and 350? Thanks in advance.

Re: stock heads CC's

Stock L69 and LB9 heads are 58cc chambers, and I think 170cc runners. L98 iron heads had 64cc chambers and the same runners. Aluminum 113 L98 heads were 58cc and again 170cc chambers I think.

I'm positive about the chamber size, but I may be a little large on the runner volume. I'm sure someone can confirm/deny the runner size.

L98 heads should have 1.94"/1.5" valves stock. The LB9 and L69 heads should have smaller valves, but I can't remember the stock diameters. 1.8x, and 1.4" I think.

Adding to what Fruity said.....

Stock 350 heads will have 1.94/1.50 valves in just about everying from 1978-up. This includs the Aluminum 113 L-98 heads.

Stock 305 heads will usually be 1.84/1.50 valves from about 1982-up. Earlier 305 heads often have even smaller 1.74/1.50 valves.
