Stock cam specs?

Does anyone know the stock cam specifications for a 1988 formula 350, TPI. I want to eventually go with cams and better heads. I want to have that musclecar idle to it that just shakes the car, and still remain within the 5500 RPM limit. Also I'm eventually going to a blower, magnacharger twin screw, so I'd like to keep as close to stock compression as possible.

Re: Stock cam specs?

Ok so i dont want to crush my fuel mileage, and i need drivability. But i would really like the idle to have a bit more lope to it, to give that muscle car kinda feel and torque. does this came look to harsh for fuel mileage? Im not really sure what kinda of duration numbers to look for.

That one seems to be mild enough, and will fit the original RPM range fairly well. I also intend to stick with the TPI setup, and put on a high flow base and runners when i do the cam. The the heads will be ported and polished when i have the money. So all in all my engine wouldnt need much more of an aggressive cam with the given RPM range would it?

Re: Stock cam specs?

Will i have to mod anything? mine is just a stock L98, so i cant use something to agressive otherwise i kill low end power, mileage and then end up with a power band on a TPI i cant reach.

Re: Stock cam specs?

Ok so it looks like the L98 heads will work with the LT4 hot cam lift and all.

I think my setup will be:
Ported L98 iron heads
LT4 Hot Cam Kit
Edlebrock Hi-Flo TPI Kit
Edlebrock Ti-Tech Headers
Edlebrock Exhaust
Custom Tune
Built TH700R4

Anyone have a fair guess as to what it might it might put on the dyno?
