Starting problems
I dont have any power to my stearing colum...nothing that runs off of the ignition will work..the lights and dome light will work but thats it...all the fuses in the fusebox under the dash are fine..what is wrong? It is a 1984 Camaro z28..thanks for anyone that can help
I have small lock troubles too. I posted my question on another site and this is the reply I got from an experienced person.
... guess is its the rod that travels thru the the ignition SWITCH.. thats the bit down the colomn.. the Rod goes UP inside the steering hub.. and runs on a keyway.. as you turn the IGNIGITON switch around.. the keyway travels and drags the Rod.. Adjustment is possible to the rod.. also the KEYWAY inside the colomn is most likely worn along with its nylon gearing.
