Starting an L98 car after extended garage time?
Hey all, I just met another guy (in my neighborhood) with an L98 in his garage - would've never known it since he hasn't driven it in a year or so. Anyway, we got to talking, & as I was telling him about some of the things I'm trying to do with mine, I could see his interest in his car being re-kindled.
So now he's thinking about starting with tune-up stuff, & then seeing how my stuff goes before he goes too much farther with it - but he's wondering if there's anything he needs to watch out for before he starts it up for the first time in a year or so...
Thoughts, suggestions?

OK, that's about what I figured, but part of me was thinking that there was something I wasn't remembering...
Thanks.
Thanks.

if it was running before he put it away, there should be no problems.....it shouldn't be that outta whack to harm anything, and if it is, it just won't start.....make sure the gas is good too, otherwise thats gonna cause a bunch of problems in the fuel injection system...

Thanks guys,
Turns out he knew about Sta-bil, so I'm guessing we've got at least a decent chance that the gas is OK. Will probably add a little oil to the cylinders just to be on the safe side too, & then change the oil after we've run it up to operating temps for 5-10 minutes or so...
Thanks again!
