spark plugs

my 350 is acting up.i have the culprate narrowed down to the spark plugs.the check engine keeps coming on sooner and sooner,i can't even drive longer that 10 mins before the engine starts to get really hot them sound like only one plug wants to fire when trying to start.imagine a lawnmower with a bad sparkplug that won't spark.but this is way louder.i'm wondering what type or brand of plug to get.the guy i bought this car from must have had in short plugs because the engine was runnin extreamly cold(when it didn't have coolent all over the underside of the hood,i could shoot that loser)and they run out quicker because of being short.so.what should i get?

Re: spark plugs

I ran NGK's for a while and car ran great.

Honestly doesnt seem to run quite as well with the AC Delco plugs but id rather have american made parts in my car so thats what i use.

Also take off your distributor cap and check to see if any of the points are broken on the underside of the cap. I wouldnt be surprised at all if that was your problem. Even if your cap is new check anyways, i broke a point after like 5000 km
