So, I just bought a 1991 Camaro. . .

RS, with a V6, for $500. . . it just hasn't been started for about 2 years. . .what should I do before trying to fire it up?

Pray, main thing is I would change the oil. And make sure all other fluids are full.

maybe squirt some oil down into the cylinders...just to lube the rings up a bit on the dry fire.

i'd maybe try some fresh gas. pull the fuel filter and turn the ignition on, let the gas pump out. then refill it.

dude, that's not very nice.... you should dispose of it properly! hehe. Just kidding, there's nothing wrong with having a V6. Maybe you'll want to go to a V8 someday, maybe not. can't beat the price though if the body is in good shape and you get get it running.

drain the oil and when you fill it crank it with the coil wire off til you get oil press.

Agreed, and a new fuel filter wouldn't hurt.

I would definately change out all of the fluids and check to make sure that the fuel pump acutally pumped gas through the lines. If it doesn't, the lines may be clogged. Good luck.
