smoking

when i first turn on my car it smokes, its has been doin this ever since i parked it on my grass after driving it , my friend says that its prolly water moisture but im doubting that can anyone tell me what it is, also its white smoke.

white smoke... hmmm well blue is usually oil i.e bad valve seals...... black is usually fuel releated *running rich*... am i correct?

You are correct. White smoke is usually a sign that your burning coolant or water. However, I believe cars that burn coolant do it all the time, not just on start-up. I'm not positive though.

so far from wat i know it only does it when it starts but im not positve, i will find out next time i drive it (dont have my license, just trying to get car ready for when i get license next month)

i've seen really light colored smoke(white or light grey) from oil(valve seals)

how long does it burn white check your oil and your coolant if they seemed to be mixed u gots some work ahead of u.

i dont belive that they are mixed because they dont look like a milkshake,from wat ive heard thats what it would look like, it only smokes for a little while after i start the car

I've had the same issue with my LG4. The black smoke on startup was me pumping too much fual before starting. The white smoke was moisture in the engine / enhaust from sitting on grass and the early morning dew. If you don;t get the white smoke in the afternoon when the morning moisture has burned off it is probably just morning dew.

I vote that the smoke is from oil and that it's valve seals. Not really too big of a deal. Technically it could run forever like that. But if you do fix it, swap the cam and springs while your down there
