smog and AIR pump question

Well then there must be something wrong with my Auto scanner (Snap On); which checks both codes,diagnostics etc. Plus my 94' Z-28 always passed emissions with flying colors. I never had any issues with either cars running lean. Although I actually would run them a little richer for more power!

The AIR pump on my IROC hasn't worked since I bought the car and it passed emissions easily. When I have time I'm gonna yank the pump to get it out of the way cause it doesn't work anyway. 1988IROC-Z28 that looks really sharp. I wish my engine bay on my IROC was that uncluttered. That's something I'll have to do when I get my 79Z28 on the road.

i dont mean to interupt the disscussion, but im new to this and need something clarified.
ive got a 96 z28 with hooker long tubes. the smog stuff was all blocked off and therefore not doing any good anyways. so if i pull it all out, how do i go about preventing these lean conditions? do i need a programmer or stand-alone-management?
