SLP runners. Are they worth it?

Hi, im wondering if it is worth buying a set of SLP runners for my tpi formula. basically the only thing holding me back now is my induction, will those runners really help that much, or should i switch to a hsr?

One of the few perfomance parts that have been around for over 25 years (SLP Intake runners) so they must be benefical. I installed mine on a new 350 crate engine and had no conparsion with before and after. But I am happy with them.

i would be getting a set on ebay, they usually go for about $100. Do they really provide that much more performance?

How could SLP runners have been around for over 25 years if TPI itself is barely 20 years old?! Were they been making runners for other vehicles in the 70's?

Save? You wouldn't even need to save much, for the price of brand new SLP runners you'd have almost 3/4 of the price of the whole HSR.

My friend put them on his low mileage 89 350 TPI and you could feel a SOTP difference.

I've heard they improve the top end a bit. Nothing hugely significant, but with some porting and a better flowing baseplate, I am sure you could see some substantial increases. I was going to get a set myself, until I learned of BBK's new TPI intake that is in the works. If I am gonna dish out 300 for runners, I might as well wait a little longer and see what they come out with.

I haven't seen performance runners on ebay go for $100, at least double that from what I have seen. If you can't find a killer deal on ebay, save up for a HSR.

I think SLP Runners are worth 10-15 hp . You can get 10 hp with a MAT Relocater kit . $400 vs $35 . I know which one I'd pick .

I liked them alot! I also had my plenum ported to match and the walls behind the tb ported as well. I noticed a nice gain on a 305 with headers and a full exhaust. I'm sure your 350 will like it even better, I do recommend oyou port the plenum to match.
