Well, the SLP runners are bolt-on and go.
the HSR requires work with the fuel lines and reprogramming at the very least = more $$$. Not that it isn't worth it.

get rid of the tpi its a dated set up!save the money and get a modded lt1 intake. www.lt1intake.com or a HSR www.stealthram.com i was in my teens in 89 when we were modding tpi motors and have done everything offered my buddy still has his t-ram from slp on his car,you can always do the superram if emissions are the problem.
slp 1-3/4,all slp ex. system
slp 2400 stall
stock tpi w/bolt ons 13.6
asm 58 mm t-b
slp runners(fully worked) 13.3
slp cam 495/510 w/1.5 crane golds
slp t-ram,svo 24s
old tfs twisted wedge 12.68
had heads ported(extensively) 12.20s
lunati 408'' kit,586 lift hydr.roller 112 lobe
strange 12bolt (well you can see why)
11.3s this motor ran very well,24mpg hiway @80mph
from 1992-2002 sold.

I did my fuel lines for under a hundred. That was just having a local place (that makes hydraulic lines for trucks and such) make SS braided lines with -6an fitting on one end and fittings on the other for fuel filter/fuel tank.

I'm running the stock tune. Admittedly it'd run better with programming but I idle fine and drive fine. It's my daily driver so I haven't had time to get into chip burning yet.

You've validated my point. The $100 or so they said these go for ebay will be eclipsed by the cost/effort of the HSR. Plus if you have a firechicken (like I do), get ready to modify/replace your hood.

As I mentioned though, it's gonna be worth it to get rid of the LTR setup.

Re: SLP runners. Are they worth it?

Thanks guys, in regards to the stock hood clearance problems, i thought that it was supposed to fit them, and not the corvettes.. not an issue for me cause i have a 6 in harwood cowl. ..

In regards to the hsr, anyone have hp and tq numbers for switching the intakes on a stock motor?

What exactly do you have to do to the fuel lines, just extend the stock ones or what?

right now im leaning towards the hsr, cause it seems to be the best bet for the money.... anyone point me towards an aftermarket chip for it, or recomend someone that does custom burns?

I haven't heard that Firebirds (or T/As) need to actually alter their hoods, just remove the underhood insulation & maybe do a little bit of clearancing... But nothing major...

Most of the answers to your other questions can be answered here...

All I had to do was trim a small section of the underhood bracing on my TA.
