Just parts.
The trans was rebuilt a year or so ago (also it's been sitting most of that year) and is in good order, I would like to keep it that way.
I was thinking
$330 Hughes over haul kit with race frictions, seals, washers, burshings and modulator that I'll hold on to for now.
$124 pain less, selonoid and wireing kit to hot wire your trans in 4th gear, have 4th gear @ WOT.
$120 TCI cast Al trans oil pan holds 2 extra qts.
$100 summit 2 in 1 trans and oil cooler kit
$34 B & M modifed trans valve, kicks down to 3rd at 2/3 of WOT, not 100% sure if I want or need this one.
$30 summit trans filter kit.
$30 Auto meter trans temp gauge.
Not geting a torque converter now, will later on.
I want to beaf up the trans before I do my engine power ups so I don't have to buy a new trans after all my money just got spent on the engine.
Any one have any better ideas or sugistions besides going TH400?
And of corse Mobile 1 trisynthetic ATF.
All this is for a 85' with a near stock 350. And no that is not the orignal engine(was 5.0L).

 

Waste of money and labor. Buy a beefed up 700R4 and a Torque
Convertor.
