Serious Overheating Problem
Hey Guys,
I have an '85 Z-28 and I blew the motor and got another 305ci motor. It turns out that I have an 1980-1984 motor (EID=14010201). When the motor was installed, the mechanic had a problem with installing the temperature sending unit because he was under the impression that it was an '85 motor. This is how I found out that it was an '80-'84 motor. He found a unit that will fit but he believes that it is the wrong one. My temperature guage reads 250-260 degrees which is about overheating stage. My question is this: Can a '80-'84 temperature sending unit work in conjunction with the wiring of an '85 Z-28? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
