no if you look really close the picture has been flipped backwards. the letters CAMARO on the steering wheel are flipped like your looking in a mirror.

i think this is the most ghetto thing ive ever seen done to a third gen. just think how cool he must think he sounds with that blower going when you pull up next to him at a stop light. how confusing would that sound be!!!

and to think hes giving details like someone else wants to copy this idea

I'm so doing this. My parents have a toro like that... I'll put her on the dyno people. Let you see the 20 Horsepower gains I'm sure this redneck achieved.

Don't anyone try that. The leaf blower would actually be more of a restriction than anything. He is actually lucky he has the aircleaner lid flipped on there. If the supercharger effect worked it would be hurting him, but because of the restriction of a leaf blower he is now able to pull air from around the engine compartment.

if what he says about it producing 135 MPH is right, how can it be restricting him? its blowing that speed all the time whether the its WOT or at idle,im sure it might be restricting him at WOT while hes racing, but other than that im not getting the reason for u sayin that man.

Hey now, not all 4th gen owners make fun of and hate 3rd gens. I used to have a '92 RS before I bought my '01 Z28, but I do plan on buying another '92 and restoring it back to what it was from the factory and beyond. The 4th gen owners that you don't like are likley the ones that bought theirs not really knowing much about the F-Body. True F-Body people do not bash any year, we like them all!

The restriction is there whether it is blowing 10mph or 200mph. Think of it like a gallon of water going threw a hose it can go at a nomal rate of say 5 mph,but if you blow on the hose it goes 20mph,but it is still one gallon of water. Now if it pressurizes that air at 135mph to say 2lbs he MIGHT see some gains, but I doubt that the leaf blower will pressurize more than a 1/2 lbs if that. His gain is probably more from turning the lid over(old, old hot rod trick)than from the blower. I do give him credit for tring though if no one ever tried doing things like that we would not have the things we have today,(ie. cars,airplanes,etc.).

ahhh yes, i can recall seeing this car before.

He even claims it took off .5 secs from his qtr mile time.

Maybe he made 2 runs at the track that day, one running bone stock, and the other with his toro leaf blower "mod"

And Kevin2.8 is absolutely right, how is this guy gaining that much power by the leaf blower if he's letting some of the air escape with his upside down air lid??

What a hack. He should get a gas powered leaf blower, then get another gas powered leaf blower to "supercharge" the other leaf blower, then get another gas powered leaf blower to supercharge the other leaf blower and then get another..........nevermind.

Hmmmmm.....

Ya Might Be A RedNeck If Ya Put A Leaf Blower On Your Camaro!!!

The Image is reversed look at the camaro on the steering wheel, and look at the gas pedal and the brake pedal. The gas is on left side and the brake is on right side.

Guys Like that think K&N added 50 H.p. too.

gotta give him credit, hick or not , its a clean install and is detachable for the chors around the house.
you know you could make a home made turbo by funneling the exhaust back into the engine compartment to help spin up that toro; a ;ittle forced induction for the leaf blower. of couse he may want to rejet it though.

The upside down air cleaner lid actually doens't hurt anything. Its just like having a partial open-element filter on there. Think about it, the lid seals to the top of the filter so the air is still being filtered, now its just sucking in air from the engine bay as well as through that tube.
I would say he is looking at gains of about 0.001 in the 1/4 for that Everything else just makes him an idiot. I really hope he put that in there for a joke and took it right out without ever running it.
And yes its very obvious that the picture was inverted, everything is backwards. Although I have seen a camaro converted to right-hand drive before.
